Ringo : gloire et déclin
Ringo. Gloria y muerte (original)
Oscar “Ringo” Bonavena’s life has all the makings of most myths: humble origins, rapid rise to success, and rugged charm, as well as a tragic and early death. With two timelines running side by side, the story traces Ringo's last three months in Reno, Nevada in 1976, when he went to seek the rematch against Muhammad Ali promised by the mobster Joe Conforte, and the high points in Ringo's life before 1976, such as his relationship with his family, especially his brother Vicente and his wife Dora. Ultimately, Ringo knew better than anyone that to be loved, first you have to be hated, and played this hand relentlessly until he obtained fame and success. “Ringo. Glory and Death” narrates the rise and fall of an idol; a larger-than-life figure who knew how to take advantage of the spotlight and who was willing to push the limits at all costs.
