While protecting Minjeong and her family from Moon’s threats, Daon is surprised to hear of Moon’s death. Bitna had killed Moon the previous night. Having completed her first infernal trial, Bitna thinks of ways to execute her remaining nine trials and return to hell quickly. She intends to get information from Daon, a police officer, about felons yet to be caught. Bitna goes to visit Daon with drinks in the guise of reconciliation and soon hears his drunken confession. Upon this unexpected discovery, Bitna stabs Daon to death with the dagger of hell for the second infernal trial, laughing wickedly.

Judge Kang Bitna of the Seoul Central District Court 18th Criminal Division is Justitia, a demon. A former judge from hell, she ends up in the human world after a mistake during a trial. Bitna must slay ten unrepentant, unforgiven killers within a year. Her first target is Moon Jeongjun, a dating violence perpetrator. Daon thinks Bitna is a good judge when she clears Daon at his own trial and tries to listen to Moon's victim. On the day of Moon Jeongjun 's sentencing hearing, Bitna shockingly gives him a mere fine. Daon is enraged, and Minjeong and her family fall into despair. Bitna is only interested in Moon Jeongjun’s infernal trial, not the victims’ suffering. After his release, Moon retaliates against Minjeong, who reported him. Watching this, Bitna begins her first infernal trial.
