Valentine heeft nog drie maanden te gaan voor haar eindexamen. Omdat ze ambitieus is, concentreert ze zich volledig op haar studie. Als jazzmuzikant Edouard haar voor een afspraakje kan strikken, belooft ze zichzelf dat het enkel om een pleziertje van een avond zal gaan. Naarmate ze hem echter beter leert kennen, beseft ze dat hij niet zo'n leeghoofd is als ze eerst dacht.
