The Rati Horror Show

El Rati Horror Show (original)

"El Rati Horror Show" documents the dramatic true story of Fernando Ariel Carrera, an ordinary man unjustly convicted to 30 years in prison through the manipulation of a judicial case. The film reveals how Carrera was deliberately set up: the alteration of evidence at the scene, the police's manipulation of witness testimonies, and the misleading of the national media by Rubén Maugeri, a key witness and president of the 34th Precinct Friends Association. Thanks to the overwhelming evidence presented in the documentary supporting Carrera's innocence, the Argentinian Supreme Court reopened the case and Carrera was released in September 2012 after serving 7 years in prison.
