Een man loopt door Parijs en komt een mooie, onbekende vrouw tegen. Terwijl hij haar naar huis volgt, realiseert hij zich dat deze jonge vrouw niemand minder is dan de vrouw van zijn vriend Vatelin. Vervolgens doet hij er alles aan om haar voor zich te winnen, maar dat blijkt niet zo gemakkelijk te zijn.
