De vijftienjarige Lyz mag zich bij een vooraanstaande skiclub voegen, die training biedt aan toekomstige atleten. Ondanks haar gebrek aan ervaring komt ze onder de hoede van Fred die vastbesloten is om Lyz tot rijzende ster te katapulteren. De coach drijft haar zowel fysiek als mentaal tot het uiterste.
