Karmina
Karmina, 140 ans, fuit sa Transylvanie natale pour échapper à son mariage avec Vlad, un ancien apparatchik enrichi dans l'import-export de navets : ce mariage était arrangé par les parents de Karmina, à qui le véreux Vlad promettait de sauver le château familial convoité par des promoteurs américains. Karmina trouve refuge au Québec, chez sa tante Esmeralda : celle-ci connaît une potion magique qui permet de redevenir provisoirement mortel. C'est ainsi que Karmina découvre l'amour avec Philippe, un musicien. Mais l'infâme Vlad, secondé par un douanier canadien qu'il a mordu, est aux trousses de la jeune vampire.
