Sam, un adolescent talentueux et rebelle, s’éveille dans le métro. Incapable de se souvenir de son nom ou de pourquoi des policiers le pourchassent, il s’enfuit et trouve refuge dans un restaurant. Sam découvre alors dans les toilettes de l’établissement un calepin écrit de sa main.
