Paris, de nos jours. David, la vingtaine, vit au présent. Il jongle entre différents petits boulots et recule, pour un temps encore, l'heure de choix plus engageants. Solitaire et rêveur, il tombe sous le charme de Lena, une voisine fraîchement débarquée. Le cours tranquille des choses vole en éclat quand sa sœur aînée meurt brutalement dans un attentat.
