Two time Cannes Grand Prix winner Burno Dumont's heavy metal musical about a young shepherdess Jeannette, the future Joan of Arc. It is through her humble upbringing and sense of justice that sparked her decision to battle the English in the latter stages of the Hundred Years' War. Based on The Mystery of the Charity of Jeanne d'Arc, a poem by 20th-century poet and essayist Charles Péguy.
