Das 19. Jahrhundert: Lucía (Inma Cuesta) lebt mit ihrem Sohn (Asier Flores) in einem Haus weit entfernt von anderen Menschen. Lucía muss sich alleine um ihr sensibles und ängstliches Kind kümmern, ihr Mann Salvador (Roberto Álamo) ist nicht mehr im Haus zugegen. Plötzlich taucht eine beängstigende Kreatur in der Distanz auf. Sie kommt näher und näher. Mutter und Sohn müssen irgendwas gegen die Kreatur unternehmen, andernfalls werden sie sterben, sobald das Wesen am Haus angekommen ist...
