Der übermäßige Alkoholkonsum hat bei dem Playboy Paul Spuren hinterlassen. Gedächtnisverlust und ein Nervenzusammenbruch sind die Folge gewesen. Als im Umfeld Pauls drei Frauen ermordet werden, wird Paul extrem unruhig und fragt sicht, ob er eventuell der Mörder ist. Seine Cousine Christine und ihr Mann Christopher wollen ihm bei diesem Problem nicht helfen. Die beiden liebäugeln nämlich schon seit längerer Zeit mit Pauls Anteilen an der Champagnerfirma Wagner.
