Liliane arbeitet in einer Pasteten-Fabrik und führt ein eintöniges Leben. Die Zeiten, in denen sie als Chanson-Sängerin „Laura“ noch große Erfolge feierte, sind längst vergessen und vorbei. Doch als sie Jean, einen 22-jährigen Boxer, kennenlernt, der in ihr den einstigen Star erkennt, ändert sich alles. Er verliebt sich in Liliane und überzeugt sie, dass es an der Zeit ist, ins Rampenlicht zurückzukehren.
