Un bergantín que transporta un grupo de jóvenes de distintas nacionalidades es atacado por una nave pirata, pero logran huir en un bote. Son rescatados por un buque pesquero cuyo capitán muere en una cacería de ballenas. Queda como comandante un joven de 15 años qué logrará llegar a la costa donde le esperarán nuevas aventuras.
