Sobrano: Canta o mouri
Soprano : à la vie, à la mort (original)
The documentary series 'Soprano: Sing or Die' tells the story of the journey made by Saïd M’Roumbaba (aka Soprano), son of Comorian immigrants born in the northern suburbs of Marseille and now one of France’s most popular artists. It reveals one of the key elements of this success: a friendship 'for life' with the three other craftsmen in this saga: Mateo, Mej and Djamali. The four friends met at the foot of their tower blocks in the 90s and have stuck together ever since - through joy, torment, humiliation, setbacks, and triumphs. Through the adventures of this group that, with talent and perseverance, broke free of their circumstances and built a music empire, a much broader story unfolds: that of a city, Marseille, diversity in France, and that of rap – all over more than thirty years.
Starring Mathieu Ferran, Majide Mazari, Djamali Ahamada, Soprano
