The Countess of Baton Rouge
La comtesse de Bâton Rouge (original)
In 1968, Rex Prince, 22 years old, makes a film with scraps of negative that he looks for here and there. He meets The Great Zenon, the cyclops at Belmont Park, who makes images materialize just by thinking about them. One evening when he goes to visit him, Rex meets Paula Paul De Nerval, and falls for the beautiful bearded woman. Alas, she leaves Belmont Park that very evening to go to work in a circus in Louisiana. Six months later Rex goes to join her. 29 years later, Rex has become a famous filmmaker and he shoots his tragic love story with Paula.
