Jaarlijks proberen honderden jongeren toegelaten te worden tot de prestigieuze Parijse filmschool La Fémis. Ze worden onderworpen aan drie selectierondes en beoordeeld door ervaren professionals uit het filmvak. Uiteindelijk krijgt slechts een paar procent de kans om in de voetsporen van Louis Malle, François Ozon of Alain Resnais te treden.
