En la remota isla de Chiloé, a finales del siglo XIX, una niña indígena llamada Rosa vive y trabaja con su padre en una granja. Cuando el capataz se ensaña brutalmente con el padre de Rosa, ella emprende un camino en busca de justicia, solicitando la ayuda del rey de una poderosa organización de hechiceros.
