La reportera Nina que trabaja en un país latinoamericano en guerra queda atrapada en la línea de fuego y contrata al piloto mercenario Víctor para que la ayude a salir del lugar, pero la avioneta es atacada y la periodista y el rudo piloto saltan en paracaídas. Caen al mar pero con un salvavidas llegan a la selva, donde tienen que convivir y ella aprende a sobrevivir.
