Siamo nell'anno 2005.La guerra fra gli Autobots ed i Decepticons si e' inasprita su tutto Cybertron, che i Decepticons reclamano come loro. Gli Autobots devono ora affrontare un futuro incerto. Megatron ed un gruppo di Decepticons sbandati, sono stati trasformati in micidiali guerrieri da un demone consuma-pianeti di nome Unicron. Adesso Galvatron, Scourge and Cyclonus devono distruggere la Matrice della Leadership degli Autobot, altrimenti Unicron distruggera' Cybertron.
