Il giovane ozioso Alexandre vive a Parigi con Marie, con la quale ha una relazione aperta, dopo essere stato lasciato dalla donna che ama. Non ha un lavoro, e ne va piuttosto fiero. Un giorno, mentre Marie è a Londra, lui invita a casa Veronika, che frequenta da un po'. Al suo ritorno Marie accetta la nuova presenza, e inizia il loro complesso rapporto a tre.
