Toni, cristiano libanese e Yasser, profugo palestinese, durante la ristrutturazione di un edificio a Beirut iniziano a litigare su uno sciocco problema di tubature, finchè Yasser finisce per insultare Toni, il quale - ferito nella sua dignità - sporgerà denuncia, dando così inizio ad un lungo processo destinato a far parlare molto di se.
