Il 28 giugno 1914 il Successore al Trono dell'Impero Austro-Ungarico, Francesco Ferdinando e la sua consorte Sofia, rest ano vittime di un attentato nella capitale bosmiaca Sarajevo. Il responsabile delle indagini, Leo Pfeffer, intrerroga gli attentatori serbi per stilare l'accusa. La pressione a cui é sottoposto Leo Pfeffer da Vienna e da Berlino, é notevole, poichè Germa nia e Austria vogliono la guerra.....
