Georges Marceau, un routier, a un accident : son assistant est tué. Georges, désormais impuissant, épouse quand même l'élue de son cœur, Olivia et tous deux ouvrent un restaurant de routiers. Mais Georges, maladivement jaloux, soupçonne sa femme de le tromper. Olivia lui est pourtant fidèle mais exaspérée elle se réfugie chez le pompiste Pietri.
