Après le crash de son avion, Sarah a été recueillie par les habitants d'un village près de Mumbai. La jeune femme devient le guide de Max, un routier engagé par Oskar, dont elle a pour mission de le conduire à son village. Mais les choses se compliquent lorsque Sarah découvre qu'Oskar veut chasser les villageois pour monter un projet en vue des Jeux Olympiques.
