En 1994, Ricardo a abandonné son rêve d'être cinéaste. À vingt-quatre ans, il a déjà, en quelque sorte, accepté son destin: celui du simple citoyen, anonyme, perdu dans l'immensité de la société de consommation. Il ne sera jamais artiste. Un appel de Radio-Canada vient cependant raviver la flamme artistique du jeune homme dont la candidature a été retenue parmi les finalistes de l'émission "La Course" édition 1994-95.
