Eräänä aamuna Mónican (Belén Rueda) teini-ikäinen tytär Clara katoaa oudoissa olosuhteissa. Joitakin tunteja myöhemmin hän löytyy kuolleena. Mónica ei suostu hyväksymään tapahtunutta.
