En un monasterio italiano, durante el sigo XIII, una imagen blanca esculpida por Fray Paracleto aparece místicamente y cose sus humildes ropas. Además aparece una misteriosa mujer Gálata Orsina. Ella cuenta su historia al Padre Provincial y así se remonta a su pasado.
