Un ejecutivo y su novia, de profesión médico, son secuestrados por una pareja para que les pasen a Francia en coche. Los secuestradores pretenden huir hasta Río de Janeiro con la peregrina idea de montar un restaurante. Ella es una simple cocinera sin líos con la ley, pero tan persistente que logra convencer a su marido para que se fugue con ella durante un permiso carcelario de fin de semana.
