These methods, non orthodox for the mental and emotional health of children, make them disenchanted and eager to get out of there. For his part, Dr. Abel does not approve this and gets to understand their needs and desires. Mickey suffers from several disorders (such as schizophrenia or ADHD), as does Sam, who suffers from an obsessive-compulsive eating disorder. They both abhor hospital routines. Guada has to go in a wheelchair. None of them feel understood, either by the doctors nor by their families. Yeray, a sociopath, arrives new and reluctant to the hospital, and shares a room with Lucas, who is almost catatonic. Sam and Mickey don't get along with the newcomer, which gets them into problems with Dr. del Alamo. It's precisely Yeray's encounter with the doctor what will make the kids able to escape: Yeray uses the doctor's gun to sow chaos and take advantage of it to run away, just like the three friends. The four set a course for Mahon.
