Jean, Charles, Raymond, Jacques und Mario haben - im wahrsten Wortsinn - das große Los gezogen. Mit einem Mal sind die fünf mittellosen Freunde aus Paris all ihre (Geld-)Sorgen los und noch dazu um 100.000 Francs reicher. Schnell sind sie sich einig, wie das Geld investiert werden soll. Gemeinsam kaufen sie ein heruntergekommenes Schlösschen, das sie mit eigenen Händen in ein Tanzlokal verwandeln wollen. Die Pläne nehmen Gestalt an und eigentlich kann nichts die fünf trennen - doch dann kommt die Liebe ins Spiel und das Band der Freundschaft droht zu zerreißen.
