Im Mont-Blanc-Observatorium arbeitet Hannes. Der einzige Kontakt zur Außenwelt ist ein Pilot und Hella über das Morse-Code-Radio. Als Hella mit ihrem Vater auf den Berg klettert, stirbt der Vater. Auch Hannes wird gefährdet, als seine Finger frieren. Aber Hella bekommt Hilfe.
