EVA
Der junge Wissenschaftler Alex ist angetan von der geistigen Reife und Willensstärke seiner zehnjährigen Nichte Eva. Ihre Charaktereigenschaften würde er gern jenem Roboterkind geben, an dem er gerade im Labor werkelt. Evas Eltern betrachten die Beziehung mit Misstrauen, besonders die Mutter ist gegen eine Zusammenarbeit. Eva allerdings hat ihren eigenen Willen, kommt heimlich ins Labor, und Alex verfällt ihrem Charme. Dabei fragt er sich eher spät, ob ein Charakter wie der von Eva überhaupt gut für einen Roboter ist.
