Tras 20 años casados, Elsa y Laurent Lacaze aparentan ser el matrimonio perfecto y, junto a su hija adolescente Lucie, forman una familia idílica. Sin embargo, todo se tuerce el día en el que Elsa desaparece sin dejar rastro. Será entonces cuando padre e hija descubran que la mujer a la que creían conocer es en realidad todo un misterio para ellos.
