Familie Berg gewinnt eine Reise nach Afrika. Da die Eltern keine Zeit haben, reist Onkel Erik mit den fünf Geschwistern dorthin. In der Wildnis Afrikas pflegen die Kinder in einer Tierklinik verletzte Wildtiere. Eines Nachts wird die kleine Mina Zeugin, wie Tiere aus der Station geklaut werden und schlägt Alarm. Der Leiter der Tierklinik will gleich am nächsten Tag die Polizei informieren. Zur großen Überraschung aller kommt nun auch noch die schreckliche Nachbarin aus der Heimat
