Ein US-Spähtrupp raubt im Jahre 1969, nach einem kurzen Gefecht, Goldbarren aus einem Nord-vietnamesischen Dorf. 18 Jahre später werden ehemalige Mitglieder dieses Trupps ermordet. Colonel Ted Ryan, damals Captain der Einheit, beauftragt Major Brad Cooper (Richard Norton) damit, den Mörder zu finden.
