Jean de Florette
Im Dorf Bastides Blances in der französischen Provence, möchten César und Ugolin eine Nelkenzucht aufbauen und dafür Land erwerben. Doch nach dem Tod des Vorbesitzers, fällt das Erbe an Florette, die Tochter des Toten. Diese ist jedoch selber schon verstorben, sodass der Finanzbeamte Jean Cadoret das Erbe antritt und aus der Stadt auf das Land umzieht um ein neues Leben zu starten.
