Jakob ist ein verschlossener, sensibler 15-Jähriger mitten in den Wirren der Pubertät. Er filmt alles mit seiner Videokamera, was ihn gerade bewegt, und liebt ungewöhnliche Fotos. Seine Eltern Claas und Irina wissen wenig von ihm, zu sehr sind sie mit sich selbst beschäftigt. Sie stecken in einer Ehekrise – beinahe täglich wird Jakob Zeuge eines Streits. Als Jakobs Mutter ihm eröffnet, dass sie sich von Claas trennen und ausziehen wird, zieht er sich noch mehr in sich zurück.
