Als die Polizei eintrifft, verbarrikadiert sich François. Während er darauf wartet, dass die Polizei seine Wohnung stürmt, erinnert er sich, wie seine Liebe zur Blumenverkäuferin Françoise und deren Interesse an dem schmierigen Hundedompteur Valentin zur Bluttat führte.
