Ein Sommer in Schottland
Monika wird von ihrer Mutter Gertrud auf eine Reise in den hohen Norden eingeladen. Dass sie sich ausgerechnet in einem Bus voller Rentner wiederfindet, damit hat sie nicht gerechnet. Während Gertrud voll auf ihre Kosten kommt, ergreift Monika nach drei Tagen die Flucht und begibt sich auf ihre eigene Reise durch Schottland. Der Zufall führt sie an den Ort zurück, an dem sie vor nahezu dreißig Jahren als Austauschschülerin einmal sehr glücklich war.
