The coronation ceremony has two battles to the death, each with two rounds, and the winners of each battle will advance to the final bout: the coronation battle. MCs to battle to the death are: MP versus Askel and Barba Roja versus Kusa. MP comes out on top in a neck and neck battle, while Kusa manages to overcome Barba Roja, who manages to find peace in knowing that “El Heredero” will come from the “El Potrero” squad. Finally, the coronation battle sees two friends freestyling for the crown: MP and Kusa deliver their best rhymes yet in an unforgettable battle.

The MCs open their hearts like never before. Spanish visual artist Okuda San Miguel arrives with a profound message for the MCs; Okuda’s story and his urban art pushes them to recognize their talents and gives them inspiration. Later, the finalists choose their opponents and commence the fiercest battles yet, with each resulting in an elimination. Competing in the battle for survival are Askel versus Venti, MP versus Sedy, Gonzo versus Barba Roja, and Kusa versus Jesús LC. Three MCs of “El Potrero” have the chance to become “El Heredero”, and Dtoke is confident that the winner will emerge from his squad.

Only three MCs are left standing for the second battle of the squads; one will emerge victorious while the other two will automatically move on to the battle to the death. Kusa comes out as the clear winner, bringing Gaudy Mercy and Sedy one step closer to elimination. Additionally, Kusa and Gonzo face off in a battle of victors with a different format, which surprises the MCs, who must give respect to their opponent in their freestyles; Gonzo walks away with the $1,000 prize, while Kaiser feels the pressure of the votes, and Skone gets to know the fear of losing two of his MCs. Soon, the remaining eight MCs will be cut down to just one.

17. “Viva Mexico” Ceremony — Part 1

Mexican music is mixed with hip hop beats to bring rhythm to the penultimate ceremony. The MCs freestyle about their biggest dreams over brass instruments. For his part, Venti feels the pressure of being the only one left in his squad and does everything in his power to advance to the coronation ceremony. Later, we learn about his story, where he talks about his triplet brothers, his friendship with Jaze, and how he was introduced to music through the piano he inherited from his grandfather. Later, an angry Dtoke responds with irony to voting results, while Skone maintains that Dtoke can’t take the L and doesn’t know how to support his MCs in defeat.

16. Ceremony of Poets — Part 2

With only one member remaining, Aczino’s squad is unable to compete in the second battle of squads. Only four MCs are left to prove that they can rhyme using the “La Décima” structure; with only one winner, the three runner-ups must compete in the battle for survival. The battle of victors comes down to Askel and Jesús LC, whose rhymes over beats fused with Cuban music has everyone on their feet. Askel emerges victorious, and later we learn about his barbershop in Chile and how he plans to use his prize money. Later, in the battle to the death, Station Beach beatbox accompanies the bass of DJ Soniko, while a controversial result leads to fresh tension between mentors.

15. Ceremony of Poets — Part 1

A genius of improvisation arrives and proposes a daunting challenge — “La Décima.” Cuban writer and repentino poet Alexis Díaz Pimienta gives a master class to the MCs, who must come up with rhymes using structures laid out by Alexis; the results aren’t what they were hoping for, leading to frustration. For his part, Askel handles the challenge with ease, and awaits his rival in the battle of victors after coming out on top. Meanwhile, Venti is able to overcome mistakes in his battles en route to a victory over Gaudy Mercy, who pushed to the bring of elimination. Vid is the second MC eliminated; from her home in Mendoza, Argentina, Vid reveals her passion for poetry and how she seeks to fuse rap with improvisation.

14. Ceremony of Memories — Part 2

In the second phase of this ceremony, the MCs have to improvise about an unforgettable moment in their lives. For the first time ever, there’s a tie in the squad throwdown, and the mentors are forced to vote again. Later, we get to know Sedy’s story and how the Chilean MC uses lessons learned from his psychology studies to analyze his opponents in each battle. Meanwhile, Litzy is unable to out battle Sedy in the battle to the death, and Barba Roja and MP — two members of the same squad — compete for the top spot in the battle of victors; the kickback battle is close, but the mentors ultimately select MP in a unanimous vote. Also, in the second battle to the death, MC Men knocks Skill out of the competition, dealing a major blow to the “Los Reales” squad.

13. Ceremony of Memories — Part 1

Only one squad remains unscathed as the seventh ceremony gets underway. Dtoke’s “El Potrero” has shown strength and a unified strategy, but fear mounts that the other mentors will vote against them in order to eliminate someone from their ranks. The competition gets tougher — moving forward each ceremony will see two MCs eliminated. Later, the first squad throwdown surprises everyone with tango rhythms, an ideal style to improvise about memories. Additionally, we get to know where Argentine MC Barba Roja’s charisma comes from as we visit his barrio and are on scene for a surprise performance. In the battle for survival, the MCs will show off their skills rhyming about objects.

12. Ceremony Without Censure — Part 2

The female MCs have a chance to face off against their male counterparts as the battle of squads continues. Once again, Kaiser’s voting causes tension, leading a fed up Skone to confront him. Later, Gonzo takes a $1,000 prize after emerging triumphant against Askel in the battle of the victors. Also, Litzy opens up about herself, giving us the chance to learn about the places she reps, the motives that led her to the world of freestyle, and the reason why she believes she will come out on top. Lastly, Litzy surprises the competition when she triumphs over her friend Racso in a battle to the death, and puts everyone on notice: no one is weak when they’re fighting for their dream.

The female MCs meet to discuss their feelings on the competition thus far and their criticism of the mentors for always placing them in battles between each other, as they want to show their abilities in battles against their male counterparts. Also, the battle of squads format is changed so as to prohibit the use of certain words, but the MCs rebuff censure and double the bet to include words in original rhyming schemes. For his part, Gonzo takes advantage of being the last to perform and uses the extra time to his advantage.

10. Flamenco Ceremony — Part 2

As the competition reaches its halfway point, the challenges increase and the battle for survival is tweaked to make it more difficult; the MCs must freestyle by using the antonym of the word that appears on the screen. For some, this proves to be a challenge, and yet for others it’s an opportunity to demonstrate that they have what it takes to come out on top. We also learn about MP’s backstory; coming out on top of the battle of victors boosted the MC’s confidence, and solidified his philosophical approach that he calls “3000.” Finally, the outcome of the ceremony leads to another difficult moment: Xplain bests Eskai. Mentor Kaiser gives the MC an emotional sendoff.

The mentors gather to discuss votes and settle differences. For his part, Jaze defends his voting preferences by arguing for personal taste, while Aczino can’t understand why no one voted for Saturno and how he ended up eliminated, and Kaiser confirms that he used his strategy to protect Eskai. Later, the fifth ceremony begins with a surprise in the battle of squads, where all of the MCs are caught off guard by flamenco influences, all except for MC Men, who finds himself in his element with his gypsy roots and gives a fire performance. Later, we travel to Spain to explore MC Men’s barrio and learn more about his past when ambition pushed him into a life of crime, but ultimately found his calling through freestyle, and how becoming a father changed his entire perspective.

8. Ceremony of the 70s and 80s — Part 2

Gonzo finds inspiration in a picture of his mother and wins over the mentors as he emerges victorious in the battle of squads. Living in Mexico and studying psychology, Gonzo takes care of the house to support his working-class mother. Additionally, the MCs continue to show off their talents with random objects in the battle for survival. Gonzo and Jesús LC have to describe their opponents in the battle of victors, in which Jesús returns to the victor’s podium. In the battle to the death, Venti comes out on top against Saturno, who exits the competition; Saturno is unable to hide his emotions upon finding out that he won’t continue and will be unable to help his family economically, while Aczino feels that an injustice has taken place.

7. Ceremony of the 70s and 80s — Part 1

In the battle of squads, the MCs use sentimental photos as improvisational material. Additionally, DJ Atenea and DJ Soniko challenge the contestants to show their range over beats inspired by music from the 70s and 80s. For his part, Jesús LC wins over the mentors with a freestyle about his sister. We learn about Jesús’ backstory in Spain, where he works as a firefighter. Finally, in a battle for survival, the MCs must show their ingenuity as they are tasked with freestyling about random objects pulled from a container. Jesús LC awaits his opponent for the battle of victors while Saturno has a rough go in his battle.

6. Ceremony of Duets — Part 2

The five duets left standing must put on display what they learned from Chuty. Tension builds between mentors Kaiser and Dtoke. Skill shines in his battles, although his duet partner Nera Cheka has a rough go after being targeted by the rest of the MCs. After “El Potrero” emerges victorious, Skill faces a difficult decision that will end with one of his own leaving the competition.

The third ceremony kicks off. In this episode, the MCs are visited by freestyle legend Chuty, who arrives from Spain to drop knowledge. This time, the battles are organized in duet format, where the defeated MCs will return to the stage to support their squads. Additionally, we dive into the backstory of J. Bickle, a Spanish MC who is ferociously loyal to his people. Later, MP and Kusa from “El Potrero” emerge as winners of the first round, while J. Bickle and MC Men from “The Big Fish” come out on the wrong side of the battle.

The battle of squads continues. Racso and J. Bickle show their allegiances to their mentors in a battle charged with fury, passion and disses. Also, Aczino regains his strength while Gonzo wins the first round and moves to the battle of the victors. Later, we learn about Gonzo’s story, beginning with his home in Mexico where his grandparents instilled in him a passion for music. Eskai, meanwhile, comes away victorious in a battle and pockets a $1,000 prize. Finally, Nera Cheka becomes the second defeated MC of the competition after suffering a defeat against J. Bickle.

The mentors share a moment of calm before the beginning of a new ceremony, with Kaiser and Eskai opening up about how freestyle saved them. Later, the MCs who didn’t rap in the first round have their opportunity to showcase their skills. In a battle of squads, all of the female MCs face off, where they show why true hip hop is for women and men alike. Also, we learn about first round winner Eskai, a Chilean MC who is determined to make a name for himself and raps without concern for the haters. Finally, tensions explode when Skone accuses Kaiser of going back on his word, while Nera Cheka also stirs controversy with one of his rhymes.

We also learn about the backstory of Xplain, a freestyler rapper from Peru who created his persona in order to survive in the world of battle rap. Kusa and Jesús LC meet in a battle of victors, where Jesús LC walks away with a prize after a strong showing. Aczine, meanwhile, confronts his worst nightmare: two members of his squad face off in a battle.

The mentors begin their journey to find the best MCs. They travel to the barrios of Mexico, Spain, Chile, Peru and Argentina with a single objective: find a freestyle rapper worthy of their reputation and transform them into “El Heredero.” Legends of freestyle battles, these five mentors are tasked to recruit four MCs, form a squad and guide them through the competition. Aczino baptizes his squad as “Los Goats”, Dtoke baptizes his as “El Potrero”, Kaiser baptizes his as “Los Reales”, Jaze baptizes his as “Los Chocolateros”, and Skone baptizes his squad as “The Big Fish.” Lastly, the MCs come together for the first time on stage, where the best will compete.
