And it's where a rookie cop goes undercover without a weapon or bullet proof vest to investigate an underground veterinarian suspected of illegal ear cropping. Elsewhere, officers respond to a severe case of cat hoarding. In a filthy home not fit for a person to even live in, the team finds three dead cats and rescues another fifteen.

5. Chasing the Top Dog

To takedown a bloodline of champion fighting dogs, PSPCA cops target a grand champion pit bull who's "services" are being advertised on the internet. Disguised as railways workers Jason Martinez and Leonard Knox, stake out a kennel behind train tracks to confirm the dog is being used to breed fighters. Lacking sufficient evidence, the officers track down the owner and tail him through Philly hoping for a break in the case.

4. Stash House Stakeout

A tip from the narcotics division leads the team to a "stash house" an empty property where illegal dog fights are held. Four of the recovered dogs need emergency care. The city's animal care veterinarian confirms what officers thought - the dogs' wounds are fresh and the fight could have been as recent as the night before the raid. But with no clues or leads, the team has hit a dead end in the case. Elsewhere the squad uncovers a cockfighting operation that is mailing roosters into the city,

3. Cock Fight Crackdown

It's not only dog fighting that has infiltrated the seedy underbelly of Philadelphia; the PSPCA is also raging a war against cockfighting. Officers Jason Martinez and Leonard Knox investigate three locations where fighting roosters are believed to be housed. Their cover is almost blown after a drive by surveillance and Jason decides to return under the cover of darkness. With the evidence in place, SWAT carries out multiple raids, rescues the birds and places their owner in custody.

2. The Raid

Undercover PSPCA cops are on a rescue mission after busting up an illegal dogfight and arresting 14 suspected fighters. The suspects could soon be released on bail, so the unit must race to raid properties and save as many dogs as possible. The team finds starved and dehydrated dogs covered in feces, dogs caged in complete darkness and even twelve week old puppies. In total, 41 dogs are rescued from five properties across the city - a crippling blow to the illegal and brutal underground sport.
