Mike becomes the biggest news story in the MLB when rumors start about him waiving his no-trade clause. The rumors are not unfounded. He's had an offer from the Cubs and could be leaving the Padres after the next game, but he's keeping it on the down low – even from Ginny, who clearly doesn't want him to leave. Al leans on Oscar not to trade Mike... and confronts him about a more personal issue.
8. Unstoppable Forces and Immovable Objects

During a rain delay at Petco Park, Mike argues with Al over whether to rest up and let Livan catch. Per Oscar's suggestion, Mike – frustrated at being sidelined – mulls over the option of trading to a new team. Mike holds a Kangaroo Court in the clubhouse in order to pass the time, a team tradition in which he serves as judge for tales of infractions on the field. But the usually lighthearted "court" turns bitter as Mike's frustrations spill over, and he gets into a fight with Ginny.
7. San Francisco

After Mike sustains an injury, Livan Duarte is brought up to catch against San Francisco and Mike is moved to first base. Tensions fly as Mike worries that he's going to lose his job; he fruitlessly argues with Oscar, and clashes with Livan, who won't take his advice, showboats and is rude to the press. Al doesn't want Ginny pitching in San Francisco; she wants to be in the game, but he forces her to stop working out and take a night off with him.
6. Wear It

Upon signing a huge deal with Nike, Ginny feels an overwhelming sense of pressure, which leads to a night of rebellion and a mandatory session with a therapist. The trouble starts when Ginny sees Nike's ad campaign, putting her in the company of other famous firsts like Hank Aaron and Barack Obama.

With 48 hours to go until the MLB trade deadline, the Padres are on pins and needles as rumors swirl around the team potentially trading Blip to the Cubs. The team has just won six games in a row, so the hope is that nobody will be traded... but there are no guarantees. Evelyn and Ginny are also worried about Blip getting traded... a house Evelyn wants the family to buy just came back on the market, they don't want to uproot the Sanders childrens' lives, and the Sanders family are the only friends Ginny has in town.
4. The Break

Mike suffers a back injury that costs him his spot as the Padres' rep in the MLB All-Star Game. Blip was next in line to replace Mike on the All-Star team... but thanks to a social media campaign, Ginny gets the spot instead. Ginny feels guilty, but Blip insists he's fine with it – not being in the game means he doesn't have to cancel a trip to Disneyland with his family – but Ginny can tell he's covering for her sake.

The Padres are hyped up to play the Cardinals, whose pitcher broke Tommy's finger in an altercation... and Tommy's hyped up because him coming off the disabled list means somebody's getting sent back down to the minor leagues, and he's hoping it'll be Ginny. But of course it isn't Ginny; it's rookie Woo-Jin, who doesn't speak English, and Oscar has to find somebody who can break the news to him.
2. The Interim

Ginny wants to fit in with the team following her winning game – and the bust-up in the locker room that followed – and is worried that the publicity tour Amelia has arranged will impede that. Not to mention all the media coverage elevating her while insulting her teammates as not being able to handle a woman on the team. And even more so when a sexist comment Al made about her years ago resurfaces and Ginny must decide whether to publicly respond.
