A predator attack on the sheep inspires Sharon to adopt a protection dog, but before German Shepherd Trudi can join the Hatchers, they need to make sure she’s a good fit for the dairy. Jennifer and Charles find a cow that’s been roughed up by her pasture-mates with an injury so serious it could be fatal. But the brother and sister duo give this girl everything they’ve got for a chance to recover.

Later, Mary Morgan helps Charles out with a dirty job, and to pay her back he shows her a side of the barn she’s never seen.

Mary Morgan supports Charles as he fixes an issue with the eternal spring. Then Dr. Jennifer and Charles are called in as back-up to help an old friend perform a skin graft on a wounded horse. Life on the dairy is always interesting.

Two adorable new goats are like a dream come true for Sharon, but it quickly turns to her worst nightmare when she needs to assist in their surgery. Luckily, there happens to be a great vet on-site who makes sure all goes well. Then, the Hatchers visit a rival who turned into family when Mary Morgan’s family farm offers their cattle match making services.

Family friend and veterinarian, Dr. John Laster comes to the Hatcher farm to help treat a steer named Steve whose got some nasty eye warts. When Steve doesn’t want to cooperate, the task turns into a literal rodeo.

Charles, Jennifer and Sharon have to work together, quickly, to save this little girl from the brink of death.
