13. Mama Don't Go / Making New Friends

Juanita has just moved to the Hilltop community and is anxious about her first day at a new school. She feels much better when mama offers to accompany her to Mrs. Jenkins’ class. However, throughout the day, each time mama attempts to leave, Juanita is not ready for her to go yet. / Juanita is ready for the adventure of her new kindergarten class, but she’s having difficulty finding her place with eleven classmates who already know each other. Mrs. Jenkins observes Juanita’s struggle and explains to her class that they are all crewmembers on the Friend Ship. Timothy volunteers to be the captain of this Friend Ship and helps Juanita make new friends.
12. Charles the Athlete / Be My Valentine

The Franks can’t help noticing that Charles finishes last place in every event for school sports day. They mistakenly think that Charles must feel bad about his athletic abilities and take it upon themselves to be his personal trainers. When they put him through a rigorous exercise program, Charles repeatedly wanders away. / Timothy has made a secret valentine for someone and so has Charles. Yoko and Lilly have also made secret valentines for their special friends. In a comedy of errors, no one receives the correct valentine and in order to sort things out, the secret identity of each of the senders has to be revealed.
11. My Family / Just in Time

Jack is a happy baby that does all the things that normal babies do. But in Nora’s eyes, he’s a messy little brother who takes things and breaks them. She becomes so tired of Jack that she excludes him from the school painting project she’s done of her family. Nora has a change of heart when she discovers what a fun and special playmate Jack can be. / Henry’s discovery of a twenty-five year old time capsule in the school attic inspires Mrs. Jenkins’ class to make one of their own.
10. Professor Fritz / Two Tutu Friends

Mrs. Jenkins’ students are making science projects to display at Hilltop School’s open house and Fritz, the class inventor, is going to impress everyone with his rocket ship. When a test flight goes haywire in front of the entire class, Fritz feels humiliated and abandons his experiment. / Doris is inspired to take ballet lessons after watching Grace dance in front of the class. A growing friendship between the two girls comes to an abrupt end when Doris embarrasses Grace by telling their school friends about an amusing mishap in dance class.
9. Measuring Up / Lost and Found

Charles’ mom and dad tell him how much he’s growing, and he can’t wait to get to school to share the big news with his friends. When Mrs. Jenkins’ students display full-size cut-outs of themselves, it’s clear that Charles is the smallest in the class. / Yoko is granted permission from her mother to take a cherished set of Japanese figurines to school for Show and Share, on the condition that she take very good care of them. When the special carvings mysteriously disappear, Mrs. Jenkins announces a special lost and found day to look for them.
8. Read Me a Story / The Gift

Nora fears that her beloved story time with Mom will become a thing of the past when her mother says she’ll soon be able to read all by herself. Nora becomes disenchanted with all of the school activities that promote reading skills, including a first trip to the library to borrow her own library books. / At her mother’s encouragement, Nora proceeds to make a special homemade birthday gift for her friend Yoko. After Nora hears about the great gifts that her friends bought for Yoko, she fears that her birthday present is no longer special enough.
7. The School Play / Full of Beans

Mrs. Jenkins’ class is performing a play about taking care of teeth and Yoko has the misfortune of being cast as the villain - the cavity! When Yoko realizes she can offer something unique to the role, her special violin sound effects become the highlight of the show. / The Franks take great pleasure in making everyone laugh with their funny jokes and zany antics, but they pull some pranks that go too far and their classmates are no longer amused.
6. New Found Franks / When I Grow Up

The Franks always do everything together, but when Fritz invites them to fly a kite and Timothy asks them to play basketball, the inseparable brothers can’t decide with whom they’d rather play. / When Mrs. Jenkins invites the class to think about what they’d like to do when they grow up, Yoko is quick to tell everyone that she wants to become a violinist. Through the course of helping others imagine what they would like to be, her interest in teaching grows, leaving her unsure as to what path she should choose.
5. The Shutterbug / The Friendship Stone

Wanting to become an avid photographer like his dad, Timothy borrows the family camera and tries to capture all of his Hilltop friends on film. When they don’t turn out the way he had expected, Timothy is reluctant to show anyone his pictures. / Lilly and Nora exchange a lucky penny and a pretty stone as a token of their friendship. After Lilly loses the special stone, she’s worried that Nora will be upset and no longer want to be her friend.
4. The Taketombo / Having a Wonderful Time

Yoko takes a Japanese flying toy called a taketombo to school to show her classmates. But before her presentation, the Franks’ errant football breaks it to pieces. The Franks are truly sorry about the mishap and want to show Yoko that they care about her feelings. / Everyone is excited about the field trip to Hilltop Park and when Mrs. Jenkins tells the class to buddy-up, Lilly and Grace choose each other as partners. The two girls may have dissimilar interests, but that doesn’t stop them from having a wonderful day together.
3. Two for Tea / Abracadabra

Yoko’s mother is coming to Hilltop School to perform a Japanese Tea Ceremony for “In the Spotlight.” Yoko happily accepts Nora’s help with all the preparations for the big event. A clash of cultures develops when Nora tries to infuse the sacred rituals of a Japanese Tea Ceremony with the fun and games of a home-style tea party. / Fritz has learned a new magic trick and reveals the secret behind the illusion to his good friend Timothy. When Grace starts performing the trick for her classmates, Fritz is furious, presuming that Timothy blabbed!
2. The Greatest / Rocky Friendship

Nora proclaims Timothy is “the greatest” when he recaptures her pet lizard Norman, after its big escape. Timothy enjoys being the object of Nora’s admiration until she starts relying too much on his help for every little thing. When Norman escapes again, Timothy desperately hopes that someone else will rescue the lizard and take over the title of “the greatest”. / The discovery of an interesting rock in the schoolyard causes a dispute between Fritz and Charles over who will assume its ownership.
