Auch wenn der Alltag sie trennt, einmal im Jahr machen die Schwestern Rike und Nicola gemeinsam Urlaub. Mit der Organisation ihres Trips wechseln sie sich dabei ab. Ebenso unterschiedlich wie die beiden selbst, gestalten sich somit ihre Reisen, sodass nun auch der Abstecher ins spanische Salamanca wieder neue Herausforderungen bereithält. Denn was Rike nicht weiß: Nicola hat für die Schwestern einen Volunteering-Urlaub auf dem Jakobsweg organisiert.
