When Molly spies Joan's former lover David Shea grocery shopping and sees Joan's favorite items in his cart, Molly's inner private eye kicks in. She follows David and discovers that Joan returned to LA and has been in a Malibu retreat with David. Joan says that she and Pappy had a fight and she left him on the cruise. Though Molly is furious with Joan, she is also relieved to find out that she is all right.

A hung-over Molly is horrified to wake up in her bed and see Kenny asleep next to her. Molly is hurrying Kenny out of bed when her doorbell rings; Zach comes over to apologize for his behavior. Zach barges in as Kenny quickly slips out of the window. In Molly's kitchen, they see a threatening message from Molly's stalker.

Kenny calls Molly to tell her that feature film star Dana Fields wants to star in Molly's movie Wife Goes On and Molly is overjoyed. When eating with uber-agent Jolie Driver (Zach's ex-wife), Molly learns that Zach had an affair with Dana when he was married to Jolie. Suddenly, the idea of Dana starring in her movie doesn't seem like such a great one. As Molly struggles with this revelation about Zach's past, she is planning an engagement dinner for Lou and his French fiancé, Alizee. When the two women meet, Molly suspects that Alizee isn't really who she says she is. Molly is convinced that Alizee is actually Ann, a neighbor from 20 years ago.

Dealing with an ex can be tough. Molly is awoken by a call from Kenny who is at the Dubai Film Festival screening his movie Blood Canal. Molly shares her good news - a movie studio is interested in Molly's script Wife Goes On. Kenny is thrilled to hear the news. But when he returns to the US, he is furious with Molly for writing a thinly-veiled script about their marriage. Kenny tells Molly that he hates how he is portrayed in the movie and will get an injunction to prevent her from ever making it.
