Where to watch "How to Hire a Hitman"
2. Episode 2
No release date yet
At the end of the first episode, Yinka discovered that the dark murder-for-hire sites were, in fact, a scam. However, while the hitmen don't exist, those with the murderous intent that order the murders certainly do. This is proven in the Amy Allwine case, as Amy’s husband ordered a hit and then went on to pull the trigger himself. In this episode, Yinka returns to her cache of hacked messages documenting dozens of online plots and becomes invested in a case that the police are yet to investigate. The FBI is unable to confirm any information, but there seems to be a real threat to a man called Eric's life, and Yinka is concerned. A forensic psychologist confirms her suspicions, but Yinka is worried about the potential consequences of telling Eric that his life may be in danger. However, after speaking to a woman who experienced having the police inform her that her life was in danger, Yinka decides that information is power and that she must head to New York State to meet Eric and tell him about the plot.

Yinka Bokinni has been sent a cache of hacked messages from a site on the dark web that claims to offer murder-for-hire services. An entrée into a criminal world she never knew existed, Yinka discovers that seemingly hundreds of people have gone online and ordered murders, some paying large sums in Bitcoin. These people are not gang members, as you may presume, either. Instead, they are ordinary people who seek revenge on partners, work colleagues, and anyone who slighted them. Yinka is desperate to find out if any of the hits she has read about have resulted in murder, so she travels to Minnesota to explore the case of Amy Allwine, a church-going mother and professional dog trainer. In November 2016, Stephen Allwine, Amy's husband, made a 911 call to report that Amy had been shot. Police Chief Randy McAllister tells Yinka that Besa Mafia, the website where the hacked messages have come from, made the FBI aware of the plot to kill Amy before it ever occurred. With this information, Yinka goes on a mission to find out who is behind Besa Mafia and if they are responsible for Amy’s death. What she discovers is shocking and causes her to broaden her investigation beyond just the murder-for-hire sites.
