For the officers that handle the inmates on a daily basis at Last Vegas's Clark County Detention Center it can be hard to tell who is lying and who is telling the truth. Rosemary Vandecar has been accused of first-degree murder but claims she is innocent. Dubbed "Jail Mom", she extends her legal advice to other female inmates, making her influential in her unit. But when officers find something suspicious in her cell, she is stripped of her transportation job within the jail.

Once inside, inmates divide themselves by things like race and gang affiliation, and a tense community of groups and cliques can be created. In this episode, we spend time with three inmates who for one reason or another simply don't fit in, and who each must make difficult decisions and take different paths in order to survive their time in jail.

Follow Tess, the jail mom who has been locked up at CCDC 22 times, as she tries to use her own life as a cautionary tale to coax younger inmates out of the game before they fall in too deep.
