2. Episode 2

At the end of the first episode, Yinka discovered that the dark murder-for-hire sites were, in fact, a scam. However, while the hitmen don't exist, those with the murderous intent that order the murders certainly do. This is proven in the Amy Allwine case, as Amy’s husband ordered a hit and then went on to pull the trigger himself. In this episode, Yinka returns to her cache of hacked messages documenting dozens of online plots and becomes invested in a case that the police are yet to investigate. The FBI is unable to confirm any information, but there seems to be a real threat to a man called Eric's life, and Yinka is concerned. A forensic psychologist confirms her suspicions, but Yinka is worried about the potential consequences of telling Eric that his life may be in danger. However, after speaking to a woman who experienced having the police inform her that her life was in danger, Yinka decides that information is power and that she must head to New York State to meet Eric and tell him about the plot.
